Animating

These are some of the animations that I performed in maya. The second image I imported a still shot of the second scene where the devil character touches the actor "tom". Here I re-adjusted the size of the devil character to the screen shot of "tom" so the preportion of the two are relative.

Characteristics

Here are some of the movements in which I myself pictured that the character would do.
I felt that his movements would be more persuasive and demanding. looking desperate when things are not going his way.

images of actions in scenes

4. first shot is of him crossing his arms, not just only that but other movements and gestures will be used. Duration on final cut Pro: 01:02:30:02-01:35:12. roughly 5 seconds of animation needed.
5. Drawing of the last scene of the devil charcter pointing. Duration on final cut Pro: 01:02:35:14-01:02:40:20.

Images of actions and timing

These are drawings and timings I did while previewing the captured scenes.
1. Openeing internal scene of the Devil character walking behind "tom". Duration on final cut Pro: 01:01:52:07-01:01:58:07. So this is roughly around 6 seconds of animation.
2. Part where the Devil character has physical contact with "tom". Duration on final cut Pro: 01:01:58:08-01:02:02:19. This contains around 4 second slot for animation needed.
3. After the contact the Devil character begins to speak expressly with "tom". Duration on final cut Pro: 01:02:02:05-01:02:07:24.
This exercise made it a lot clearer while I was animating.

Source images of Shooting

Here are some the screen shots for the scene in the bedroom the "Tom"(actor) is visited by his very own demon.
As I was the camera man, I believe these where the right shots to use for the amount of space available in the room.
The marked picture is a reference for while animaating in maya. It helped me to see exactly where would the 3D character stand next to "tom". And also I have the 3D character touching the actor "tom" on the shoulder, which is visible with the markings.

timba 's work

The walk scene is a little stiff as the arms should be more organic in movement.

Here I found many problems in how to match the live action with animation. They did not match as I expected. And also the character has no shadow which is something to look at to improve.

This is a Composite firstly, as a test.
